MigrateGo (“we”, “us” or “our”) helps merchants move their stores to Shopify. This policy explains what data we handle when you use our app and website, why we handle it, and the choices you have. By using MigrateGo you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

To run a migration we process the data you ask us to move and the information needed to operate your account:

• Store data you migrate: products, variants, inventory, collections, customers, orders, reviews, pages, discounts, SEO records and redirects from your source platform.
• Account details: your name, email address, store URL and billing information handled through the Shopify App Store.
• Technical data: log files, device and browser information, and usage events that help us keep the service reliable.

2. How we use your data

We use the information above only to deliver and improve the migration service. That includes mapping and transferring your records, validating the result before launch, providing support, sending service updates, preventing abuse and meeting our legal obligations. We do not sell your data.

3. Customer data during a migration

The customer and order records you move belong to you. We act as a processor on your behalf, transfer that data to your Shopify store, and retain it only for as long as the migration and support window require. Once a migration is complete you can ask us to delete any working copies we hold.

4. Sharing and subprocessors

We share data only with the service providers needed to run MigrateGo, such as cloud hosting and infrastructure partners, and with Shopify as the destination platform. These providers are bound by contract to protect your information and use it solely to provide their service to us.

5. Data security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and isolated processing environments to protect the data we handle. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to notify you promptly if an incident ever affects it.

6. Data retention

We keep account information for as long as you use MigrateGo and delete migration working data after the support window closes, unless we are required to keep records for legal or accounting reasons.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us and we will respond within the timeframe required by law.

8. Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies to function and a small number of analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can control non essential cookies through your browser settings.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know inside the app.
